Report on Book Group Meeting - Meeting, Monday, 9 April 2018

Our group met on Monday for an interesting discussion about the novel "He Said/She Said" by Erin Kelly. The novel is described as a psychological thriller - some of us agreed with this description and had, judging by the scores of 8s and 9s awarded, thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Three of us had not managed to read beyond the first few chapters and so abstained from awarding any points. I think, without exception, we all agreed that the story was very slow-moving with some people saying that they only felt gripped by the story half to two thirds of the way through. The characters were all believable - if not likeable - and there were many twists and turns in the plot, building the suspense to keep readers interested. Scores ranged between 8 and 9 with an average score of 8.
Next month we shall meet to discuss "Hiding In Plain Sight" by Susan Lewis.
