We discussed a number of aspects of web designand also had a brief look at NGINX as a webserver in place of Apache.
The conversation then moved towards the Raspberry Pi. These little machines are now incredibly powerful and can even be used as a desktop PC despite their low cost and small size. Those present all expressed an interest in trying out using the Pi as a home based webserver and we will enquire initially about their availability on loan from the library.
We may also look to purchase our own personal units and the top-end spec is shown in the image (courtesy of Martin).
